TCRA ICT Scholarship for Graduates &Undergraduates in Tanzania, 2016-2017

The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) is currently inviting highly qualified graduate and undergraduate students to apply for its 2016-2017 ICT scholarship. The scholarship offers Tanzania students the opportunity to obtain degrees in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and related areas.

The overreaching aim of establishing the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority was to transform the public higher education to improve quality and efficiency of teaching and learning, creating a world-class higher learning institution.

The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) is a quasi-independent Government body responsible for regulating the communications and broadcasting sectors in Tanzania.

The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and interview to be conducted by the Scholarship Panel.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: For Undergraduates: The applicant must have completed Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination in the year 2016.

For Master Students: Applicants must have an honors upper second or higher undergraduate degree from recognized University.

For Ph.D. Students: Applicants must have an honors upper second or higher undergraduate degree from recognized University.

Scholarships are awarded to obtain degrees in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and related areas.

The necessary course level:

Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate, masters and Ph.D. programs at public universities.

How much is the scholarship award?:

The Scholarship covers all university direct cost (tuition fees etc) and all student direct cost (meal, accommodation, book and stationary allowance, field practical training, special faculty requirement etc) for the duration of the course, provided that they obtain good academic performance. The scholarship amount has been set based on average cost of fees and other costs for the students in public universities. A student may enquire scholarship amount for specific items from the Authority.
